First, something about glass. We changed many here. Glass is defined as glass and is only visible with the reflection of light on the surface. Adding an alpha channel map with mirror effect is not enough. A mirror effect moves with the perspective of view, i.e., a mirror effect moves in the direction opposite to the viewer’s.
You think: Train Simulator isn't able to do that!!!
Take a look at the pictures and see what is possible. We see the same part of the station three times, changing only the position of the viewer. Look at the mirror effect on the glass.
What would a metal pipe look like without gloss? What would tiles without gloss look like?
Here, also much has changed. Gloss depends on the material type and its surface. On a flat surface gloss doesn’t look so great as on a rounded surface (ex.:pipes).
We created a way to project a spot on the material which slips on the surface depending on the speed and angle of the observer.
